Dr. J. Andrew Kuypers

Owner and Principal Consultant

I'm a communication consultant, author, and educator who has a passion for empowering professionals to communicate with confidence and strength. I've dedicated my 25+ year career (consulting, coaching, lecturing, giving workshops, and publishing academic research) to helping individuals and organizations unleash their communication potential.

My expertise embraces public speaking, interpersonal communication, strategic messaging, media analysis, and communication theory. I've authored or edited 17 books and numerous peer-reviewed articles. This work has focused on areas such as public speaking, media framing, political communication, and communication strategies in the digital age. Throughout my work I've always aimed to bridge academic insights with practical, real-world communication skills.

With more than 25 years as a professor and consultant, I connect research-backed insights with real-world results. In my roles as communication consultant, full professor at Virginia Tech, and former Director of Speech at Dartmouth College, I’ve mentored countless students and professionals, helping them reduce performance anxiety and develop effective communication abilities. I'm especially passionate about helping people excel in an AI world by enhancing their creativity and critical thinking abilities.

I have a simple professional mission: to help people become more effective, confident communicators. Whether through keynote or motivational speeches, workshops, or one-on-one coaching, I'm committed to transforming my clients' communication challenges into opportunities for growth and success.

I hold a Ph.D. in Communication from Louisiana State University, along with an M.A. and B.S. from Florida State University.
